Welcome to our website! The humans of
Pawcific consist of Kathy and Emily Fish. We are a
mother/daughter team from Washington state. We have been
breeding and showing Cardigan Welsh Corgis since 1995. It is
our goal to produce sound, good tempered, healthy Cardigans that
excel in both the conformation and performance arenas. We
welcome any inquiries about our Cardigans and are more then happy to
welcome visitors to our homes.
Kathy Fish lives in Camas, WA on a fourteen acre
farm with her husband Ken and her daughters Jenny and Brittany (who
still live at home). Her main love is tracking and she helps
teach tracking classes in Vancouver, WA with her good friend Joan
Armstrong. She is also the health, nutrition, and puppy
raising specialist of Pawcific. On the farm she also breeds
Papillons, her other love in dogs, and also other animals including
Boer Goats, and Miniature Horses.
Emily Fish graduated from University of Oregon with a Master in
Music in vocal performance in September 2008 and received her
undergraduate degree from Pacific Lutheran
University with a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree in vocal
performance with a minor in psychology in 2006. She is now
back in Camas, WA near her parents where she divides her life
between teaching private voice lessons, singing in the community,
and her dogs. Her main love is conformation.
Emily handles professionally, teaches handling classes at Dog Days
Dog Training in Vancouver, WA, and is working towards applying for
her judges license. She has had the pleasure of judging
several sweepstakes assignments and hopes to do more in the future.
She is also a Board Member of our local Cardigan club Northwest Cardigan
Fanciers and President of our local BC club PNWBCC. She is a
member of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America. She is the pedigree expert, shows the
dogs, and plans the future of Pa wcific.
Our success is greatly owed to our mentor and
good friend in Cardigans, Dorothy Hartcher of Llandwyn in Australia.
During 1997 and 1998 we had the great pleasure of living only
minutes from Dorothy's house. Through the years we have
imported several Australian bred Cardigans to introduce to our
breeding program. Currently most of our Cardigans have an
"Aussie" influence or go back to our original imports.
